Howdy!!

So...a new semester has begun and it looks like it'll be more difficult than the last one. I have a lot of writing and reading to do and overlapping assignments. Welcome to college! :) It shoudn't be too bad though; all I have to think is that in April I will have successfully finished a year of college! :) Woot! Woot!

The part that is even more unfun than classes is that when I showed up in Utah everything was covered in snow!! It's everywhere! It's fun and really pretty but, I'd like it ot be a little bit more warm and perhaps not as long as a month! :) But it'll be nice to get used to things like that.

I'm excited for this semester and the changes that it is bringing. In true BYU spirit there is a dance on Friday, and maybe I'll go. It all depends on whether or not I can watch the Aggies play in the Cotton Bowl! ;) I mean I still have to support my other team even though I am at a different college! :)

Christms Day!

Hello all!

Well, it is Christmas Day and it was a wonderful Christmas! :) Laurel and her family came and suprised me for Christmas! It was awesome! Kit and his family came up for a few days and Devin and his family were here too. Sadly, Holly was not allowed to make it... :(

Christmas was lots of fun though and I got a lot of useful things too! I got a new camera and lots of warm clothes!!! :)

Finals week!

Oh wow!

I have just realized that I have failed pretty mich all semester to keep you up-to-date on my life! Let's see....there was Homecoming, Halloween, Thanksgiving and many other great parties and funness! :)

And sadly now it is the end of the semester! It has snowed quite a bit here (except for now it is completely dry) and it is COLD! It makes me ask myself why I live in Utah!! :) Yesterday was the last time I'm going to Irish dance in a classroom setign for the year and it was kinda sad! Today I went to Book of Mormon and Biology for the last time and in a little bit I'll go to Anthropology for the last time too. It is soooo sad! My bio professor had written a reflection of the semester that came with a Christmas Blessing for all of us. It was kinda sad and at the same time it showed how much he really cares for each and everyone of us! :)

I don't officially start taking my finals until monday for the rest of my classes, and next friday  Iget ot come home! I'm excited that I finally get to go back ot the state of Texas that I have missed SOOO much since I've been here since June. I kinda understand what missionaries go through only it's not like I can't see them after seven months! IT'll be so awesome to come home to the one holiday that my family is REALLY into. I can't wait to see the beauty of Christmas as it is only expressed in my house! I think ANYONE who hasn't seen my house at Christmas has never seen Christmas beauty! :) I mean my decorations now are just not the same!

But, anyways! I mean my roommates are NOT as pro as me! ;)

Random Questions!

Hey Everyone!

I know I have not blogged in like over a month! I do plan to update everyone on everything that has been going on! But, for right now my sister has challenged me to answer some questions so here they are!

1.What are you going to be for Halloween, and what made you choose that?

Well, I am going to be Smurfette! I think I chose that because ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be one! Wouldn't it just be the coolest thing to be tiny and blue? Not to mention the fact that she is the only smurfette in a sea of smurf men! :) I mena come on! when she was first created it was to seduce all the smurf men into the hands of the evil wizard Gargamel! I just think it would be totally awesome to be her! :) 



2. What is one random fact about you that not many people are aware of?

One random fact that not many people are aware of....hmm....that is a toughy! I would have to say that when I was in the 5th grade I actually won the school spelling bee and went on to the city comeptition. I don't tell many people because that kinda paints me as a nerdy kid! Oh well, I guess no longer!


3. If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Anywhere in the world? I would most definitely have to say Europe. Mainly Ireland and maybe France. Ireland because I have wnated to go there my ENTIRE life! I have had an obsession with that country as long as I can remember. My ancestors came from there and there is a mysticism that seems to come with it as well. I love it so much that I'm in Irish Dancing and the color I own the most of is green! France, just because I really like the culture. I just found out that all of my favorite movies (with the exception of one or two) take place in France. (Ever After, The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dome, Beauty and the Beast, and The Aristocrats!)


4. What color best describes you, and why?

The color that best describes me would be purple! It would be purple because everything that I own is purple! Alos, it is a cool, relaxed color and it has some mystery in it! So I like ot think that I am relaxed and mysterious! :)


5. What is one piece of jewelry you absolutely can not leave the house without wearing? (aside from your wedding ring, if applicable)
 
Well it is not applicable! But the piece of jewelry that I cannot leave the house without would be the ring that I got for graduation from my parents to replace the ring of my mother's that I lost the week before. It has an amethyst and diamonds and is gorgeous! I also love that fact that it came from people I love soooooo much! :)
 
So, I do not have that many followers, so I'm not going to ask questions for three people to answer! I do promise to update my life as soon as I can! :)

The first Month of School!

Hello!

I am so sorry that I have slacked off! Some of you are probably wondering what my life has been like! Here's a run down of my day to day life. The classes that I have this semester are Book of Mormon, Biology, Anthropology, World Civilizations to 1600, Mass Communications, and Irish Dance. I know what you are thinking. That sounds completely boring! And they are like all history classes! But, surprisingly most of them aren't that bad! Irish is a really interesting class! I've been learning a lot about the culture and about the dances that are traditional to Ireland! It is sooo cool! :) Classes are going pretty good. As you can imagine with my classes there is a lot of wrinting assignments and a lot of chapter books to be read. I've never had this much to think about probably ever! Most of my classes make you think about life and the people involved. 

So, some ofthe exciting things that I've done since being here. During the first week of school I got to go to a John Mayer concert with Owl City as the opener! IT was soooo much fun and definately a good choice for my first concert! :)

Another fun thing would be the "Our Heritage through the Decades" that we had! It was super fun!

That reminds me! I need to introduce my roommates! There are five of them as you can tell and Those are their names! Danielle and Andrea are from California and Rachelle and Mikayla are from Utah. Sarah is actually from home and has been my best friend since forever! :) They are all SUPER awesome and I LOVE them all to death! I am soo grateful to be blessed with such wonderful roommates for the second time! I have no idea what it would be like to have roommates that I didn't get along with! :) Another thing that was totally fun was we had a "mini" summer reunion with some extras for Erin's 19th Birthday! It was super fun! We danced and played Wackee Six and ate WAY more cake than any normal person should!

Me and my current roommates also had a Disney Royalty themed dinner wit our FHE boys! That was so fun as we got to dress up and they decorated their apartment for the theme. (There are pictures, and as soon as I get them I will put them up so you can see!) I was Cinderella, Sarah was Giselle (Enchanted), Danielle was Nala, Andrea was Pocahontas, Rachelle was Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Mikayla was Minnie Mouse. :) It was totally cute and lots of fun!

Something else that happened was that Allie came to visit me this past weekend! It was sooo awesome! She was one of my summer roommates and she totally became my best friend! I love her and it was so good ot spend time with her this past weekend! Skyler also came down to see her so the three best friends from summer were back to gether and it was so much fun! :)

that pretty much sums up the past few weeks that you've missed out on! This weekend is General Conference and I get ot go to two sessions! I'm stoked! And next week is Homecoming so hopefully the dance that I've been helping with will work out and be beautiful! :) We shall see the next time I write!

The Start of Fall!

The Summer Term is over, and I'm in College Limbo?

Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, but I've been SUPER busy with school and moving and such!


So, the term has ended and I am SUPER sad! It's weird to not be around the same people everyday like I've been everyday since June. I had like Companion Seperation Anxiety the first night that I wasn't sharing a room with Jessilee! The last few days were kinda bittersweet. On wednesday of the last week we decided to have a HUGE family dinner with our roomies, FHE brothers, and some extras we also hang out with (Skyler and Marc). Then the next day Allie and I wanted to pull an all nighter, but we decided since we were both moving out the next day it probably was not the best idea. But, we did manage to hang out with some friends for a while and make some memories. On that night there was a meteor shower and and so me, Allie, Skyler, Jessilee, Emily, Austin, Kimmy, and Erin decided to find a spot to watch the shower for a couple of hours. Austin knew of a place near Draiper that has open skies and a great view! So, we went and enjoyed the beautiful stars! then we went homw because it was FREEZING! Then everyone but Kimmy and Erin decided that we didn't really want to go to bed yet so we went to IHOP. that was exciting! Emily feel asleep after she ate her meal and we all had to wait for Skyler because like usual he took four years! :)

The next day was the saddest of the entire week. We all got up pretty early and finished our packing and began our cleaning. Skyler came over to say goodbye, but couldn't watch us clean so he sat in the lobby with Allie's mom and my dad. Jess was the first to leave and I cried watching her go. A little while later me ad Allie left at the same time, and hte tears flowed once again! IT was even worse when we threw Sky into the mix. IT is WAY too hard to say goodbye ot the two best friends you make at summer term. The worst part? Who knows when I'll see either of them again. Neither of them are coming back for fall. But, they helped me to grow as a person this summer and I will always be greatful even though I won't see them everyday. Leaving was really hard and it was even weirder when we drove to the temple and then back to my dorm to show Holly and Nate. This happened at the same time it would have normally on sunday. Campus is quiet, but I'll be back there soon enough.

This week for my vacation I have been relaxing in peaceful Choteau, Montana. I was visiting my grandma and we did lots of fun stuff. On monday we went to the Roxy theater where it shows only one movie at one time every day. It was sooo old school! It made me happy! :) Then on tuesday we went to great falls to go shopping for some new clothes and a new computer. Then I went to the ice cream shop in Choteau and got Montana Moose Moss ice cream which is pretty much mint chocolate chip ice cream. Then we watched Once Upon A Summer that was about two friends leaving (which made me kinda sad because of the previous weekend!) The next day we wentto Glacier Park! It was lots of fun and REALLY pretty! The water was soooo blue and the glaciers were gorgeous! WE had a fun day at the park and ate a nice picnic lunch in the trees. We saw four mountain goats, and that was the extent of our wildlife citings. We didn't see any mountain lions or bears. :( When we got home we grilled some pork chops and watched Return With Honor. We also looked at some old pictures of my dad as a child and my siblings as children. Then today we jsut hung around the house until lunchtime. For lunch we went to the old drive-in (which isn't  a drive-in anymore) and then we visited Andy and Charlene for a while. WE went back to gradnma's and ate peanut butter pie and headed down the road back to Provo!

So, now I'm here looking forward to tomorrow when I might be going to Yellowstone and will be going to Annie Get Your Gun with her family. Hopefully, everything will be alright and I will see my roomies and besties in the very near future!
