I don't even know if people still read this!

Howdy,
   So, I am in he middle (actually near the end) of the Spring Term and I am SWIMMING in schoolwork! There is so much that I have to get done and it is making me question my choices for the future, yet again.

In other news, the last semester was great and I managed to have the best semester grades-wise EVER! :)

These are some of the highlights you may have missed. AS far as spring goes, I have a bunch of different roommates and it has been really great getting to know them and my FHE brothers. Sadly though, I spend a lot of time doing homework, but I'm still able to spend a good amount of time with them. I'll only be here for a few more weeks though, so we'll see what kind of trouble I can dig up before I head to the East!

The Sick Second Week

Howdy!
So, school has been going on for like two weeks now and to make things more interesting I've been sick pretty much the entire last week. I got sick on Monday afternoon and have been trying to get better ever since. I don't have the flu, but I have had a fever twice and a terrible cough for most of it. Basically, I am SO EXCITED there is no school today because I really need a break from walking in the cold. Yesterday I managed to sleep through most of church, but I felt much better afterwards. Hopefully, I will continue to get better! :)

A Brand New Semester and Year!

Hello all!

     The year has ended and now it is time for me to start new resolutions and begin all new classes! Whoo!
 This year I dive more into my future. I am taking two editing classes and they look like they are going to be interesting to say the least! 
      I am excited though about my Latin Ballroom class! We are starting with the Rumba and I think that I'm actually doing pretty well all things considering. Maybe this will be the right kind of dancing for me. We will see! Maybe I'm doing well because of my Dancing Jaguars background ;)
      As I get farther into the semester, I'll keep you posted on the exciting things that are happening!

New Semester

Hello!

Well, this semester is well underway and nothing too exciting has happened yet. I am in five classes and three of them are for the English major. It's a lot of reading, but I LOVE them! In fact my Shakespeare teacher has  used Star Trek, Doctor Who, and The Beatles to illustrate certain points. I'm excited for the rest of the semester to see what he'll bring up!

Another exciting thing is that we got brand new bathrooms!! Our complex decided that there needed to be some remodeling, so they decided to give a bunch of us new bathrooms! They are beautiful, and I quite enjoy using them! :)

That's pretty much all the excitement for the moment! :)

The Hill Cumorah Pageant

Hello all!


For the past month I have been everywhere it seems like! But, the most exciting thing that I did was participating in the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, New York! 

It was so much fun and very much a growing experience for me. The show is called "America's Witness for Christ" and it is the story of the Book of Mormon and then a quick run through of the restoration of the Church. I played two parts in the show. My first part was a Ceremonial Dancer. Basically, I was wicked and got to dance in front of altars and idols!

This is the costume I got to wear for that lovely altar dance!

We also got to wear SUPER dramatic eye make-up. In fact we were the only people in the cast whose make up had to be a certain way. There were others who had to be wearing some type of make-up, but not like this!

The other part that I had was a New World Woman. This basically meant that I had the wonderful opportunity to bring children to the Savior when he descends from heaven. I had two other people my age with me and five children. It was an amazing experience to get to share that special time with children. It really makes you think about the whole situation differently!

We were split up into groups of people our age and we were able to do many things together like service projects, visiting the church history sites, and going to a beautiful lake! The people in my group were awesome and even though we had some bumps along the way, I'm grateful they are the ones I got to know!

These are what we called our creeper magnets! We used them like the Weasley's clock in Harry Potter. It allowed us to keep track of everyone! 

The whole pageant experience was incredible. I learned a lot about myself and about other people. It is definitely something I am grateful I did! 

After pageant, my parents and I (they were also in the pageant with me) stopped in New York City where we got to see lots of sites and The Phantom of the Opera!!! :) We also went to the Ben and Jerry's Factory, the birthplace of Joseph Smith, the Old North Church in Boston, Hershey's Chocolate World, and then we ended our trip with stopping in Nauvoo to see my best friend and roommate Sarah perform as one of the Young Performing Missionaries.

My trip was a lot of fun, but I am SO glad to be home from all the travels and I hope to catch up on my rest before I pack and head back to Utah! :)

The beginning of Summer

Hey there!


So, I haven't really posted anything in a while. It is because I haven't really had anything exciting to post. I've been home for over a month and I've been relaxing around the house and getting some much needed vacation time from school. 


Last week, however, my parents and I managed to have a lot of fun at the movies! It was Phantom week, so on Monday at Cinemark they showed The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Then on Wednesday they showed the Australian performance of Love Never Dies. It was AWESOME! My parents had yet to see Love Never Dies, so it was interesting to see their reactions. Before we saw Love Never Dies, mom and I saw The Avengers with a group of kiddos from her work and a couple of teachers. I LOVE THE AVENGERS! It was so awesome to see them all together. I laughed a lot and really enjoyed it! I can say that there were times that I was wishing Loki was not the bad guy! But, I can also say that I think that my favorite Avenger might be Captain America. I'm not really sure why. I mean, I like most of the Avengers and so picking a favorite is hard, but there is something about Captain America... Maybe it's because he's such a gentleman! :) Who knows?


Other than that, things have been somewhat slow around here, but in another week my sister will be here!! And then my other sister will be here sometime soon as well! :) I can't wait to see them! :)

Summer

Hello all! IT would appear that my last post was in February! Sorry, Since then I have successfully finished my second year of college and am currently in Summer mode! Also in there I had  birthday and some other fun stuff happened, so here you go!

As roommates we went to see The Lorax and then to IHOP for my birthday! :)

This is going to be one of our new roommates! (Elizabeth, not Reid!)

I got to go to a wedding reception for one of my friends from Texas and Natalie came with me!
