Memorial Day Weekend

Hey!
Two weeks ago Jason and I set out on a lightning quick roadtrip to St. Louis for an open house for us! It was so much fun! We left right after I took a Spanish test on Thursday and drove the whole way. Let me tell you, Truck gets pretty toasty when the sun is out. Needless to say that we did not smell or look the best when we arrived at Jason's parents house! Hahaha.

We spent the first day getting a few things organized and cleaned up. My parents came out to St. Louis as well and it was fun to get to catch up with them. Jason and I also got to catch up with his best friend for dinner. We had a lot of fun.

Saturday we spent cleaning the backyard and getting it ready for everyone to come over. We also prepared lots of delicious food. His mom is amazing! She took care of all of the planning by herself. :) Then people began showing up! It was perfect weather. It wasn't too hot because the sky was overcast so we were able to be pretty comfortable outside. I met lots of amazing and nice people who spoke very highly of my husband. I agree with them. He is absolutely incredible! :)

Sunday we went to church and then slowly began getting all of our stuff ready to go and packed in Truck. We had to bring a lot of things home with us that Jason had left out there and some other random items like a dresser that we desperately needed. After we packed we headed down the road. The trip home was about the same as the trip out except that we hit a massive rainstorm that lasted several hours. It was not our most favorite.

Monday, we got home in the early evening and after unpacking our car decided that we were not in the mood for cooking so we went out to one of our favorite spots and got delicious food. :) We also left the stuff in our living room until yesterday! (Okay, that's not completely true. We were slowly taking stuff out and most of it was gone by the time his sister came to visit this weekend.)

Also, this past weekend we got to spend some time with Jason's sister and her husband and some of Jason's other relatives. We saw the movie Maleficent. It was super good! :) I do love fairytales though so maybe I'm biased! ;)

Springtime!

Hello all! Spring has sprung (well sort of it's been pretty chilly recently and wet). Jason and I are about the same as always. We have discovered that both of us enjoy certain tv shows and movies so we have been exposing the other to it. We started by watching all of Doctor Who starting from Christoper Ecckeston to the second to most recent season. Since we finished those we have watched all of the James Bond movies. We literally finished last night. They are so awesome! I gotta tell you though Sean Connery is my favorite. 

Jason recently was hired as customer care at a local security system place and is doing pretty well. I guess when you have awesome people skills a job like that is a walk in the park! 

I'm busy going to school for both the spring and the summer. My original graduation date was supposed to be in April, but because of my stupidity I still have three semesters of a foreign language to take. In fact, I will walk in August but I will still have one class after that to take. Boo. I am also taking my last editing class right now and I'll take my last English class during summer. For my editing class we are creating a student anthology of various people in the humanities. I had to turn in a paper so I'll be sort of published at the end of June. 

I also recently discovered that my love in English is not in editing. I think that the skills are useful, however the world of publishing is not for me. I am not the right personality for that at all. I have been looking into a masters of library science programs and have actually been enjoying the research. So, maybe I'm meant to be a librarian. Who knows! I just applied to be a clerk at the local library so we will see what happens!

Other than that Jason and I are just as happy as can be! We are embracing our unknown future and hope that we figure it out soon. :)

It's Been a Week!

Hey all! 

    So, a week ago yesterday I got married to Jason and I could not be happier! Even though our honeymoon period only lasted about one day haha. 

     Last Saturday we opened our wedding gifts with Jason's family and my parents and then spent the evening with Jason's best friend Adam and his wife. It was super fun and a great way to get to know them better. 

     Sunday we got up and went to church and then had dinner at Jason's grandma's house. After that we headed home and waited to hear from Jason's family and Adam since they all were going home to St. Louis. Sadly though St. Louis had a massive storm and they were not able to fly home until Wednesday. So, Adam and Amanda stayed in our extra bedroom! It was a lot of fun getting to know them better! :) 

    Monday I started school again And with that came the usual stress! Not to mention that I had the worlds worst cold from the day or so before I got married so all I wanted to do was snuggle and sleep. But, it all worked out.

     Tuesday Truck went into the shop because he was having some problems. Sadly, Wednesday Jason and I has to walk a lot in the middle of a snowstorm :) but, Truck is now fixed and everything is good!

      We are starting to make our little apartment more like a home everyday and have gotten pretty much everything we need! At least, for now! All we need is a little more free time to be able to unpack. 

     We did manage to have some free time on Thursday night and we spent it snuggling an watching White Collar and Doctor Who! :)

The rest of FOREVER

Hello all! 

Well, I got engaged!!! To Jason :) I am absolutely and completely happy! I cannot wait for January when we will get married :) :) :) he's the best person I've ever met and I am the luckiest girl on the planet :) 

In other news, I'm just going to school. My classes are good, but really challenging. I definitely will have to work really hard this semester. Especially since I have to wedding plan on top of that! :) but it's fun! My teachers are all dripping with personality so that the classes for the most part enjoyable. Not to mention, I get to watch Gothic films, read great American literature, and speak Spanish hardcore for the first time since sophomore year of high school!

The good life!

Currently I am at Holly's house helping her out. It's been fun! I get to babysit lots of hours. But recently I added a lot more fun. I have a killer case of larengytis or a cold or something. Basically, I can't speak and it's a little frustrating! But there's never a dull moment around here!

Another stress-filled summer

Hello!

I have recently added blogger to my phone, so hopefully I'll be able to maintain this page more than I have in the past. My summer has been pretty full so far! It started with attending the spring semester so I could get more into my minor.

After the spring semester I was able to go to St. Louis! You guessed it, to see Jason :) sadly, i was sick for the first little bit, but it was such a good trip and I was able to eat at some delicious places, visit the top of the arch, see some local sites, and kayak! 

From St. Louis I trekked with my parents to the Hill Cumorah Pageant once again! It was such a great experience and I was able to meet some amazing people. This year I was a harvest dancer in the scene where Lehi and his family are prospering in the promised land. I also was an unbeliever who was waiting to see if the sign of Christ's birth would come or if they would have to persecute the believers. I really liked my parts this year because I was able to see more parts of the pageant that truly touched me for the better.

Now, I'm waiting for the wedding of one of my best friends where I'm the maid of honor! The craziness will continue!

Howdy,
   So, I am in he middle (actually near the end) of the Spring Term and I am SWIMMING in schoolwork! There is so much that I have to get done and it is making me question my choices for the future, yet again.

In other news, the last semester was great and I managed to have the best semester grades-wise EVER! :)

These are some of the highlights you may have missed. AS far as spring goes, I have a bunch of different roommates and it has been really great getting to know them and my FHE brothers. Sadly though, I spend a lot of time doing homework, but I'm still able to spend a good amount of time with them. I'll only be here for a few more weeks though, so we'll see what kind of trouble I can dig up before I head to the East!
